As you scroll through this small portion of Leonardo Da Vinci's works, you'll notice that many of them are not simply for pleasure or "decoration". In fact, there are many drawings by Leonardo that are more based off of science and anatomy rather than the normal topics of art in this time. Perhaps this is why Leonardo is such a huge contributor to the Renaissance because instead of using his talent for strictly art, he expanded his horizons into researching and developing theories and ideas of the human body.
